What I should have learned in college…

16 Sep

  • Stay focused but not stressed. It’s not the end of the world it’s just the beginning of what you can’t see
  • The chances of you getting a job in your degree are pretty slim. Be hopeful, but don’t be crushed if you end up working at a job outside of your field of study.
  • Take the “fun” classes.
  • Be nerdy. The good news is that it’s currently chic.
  • Pay off your school loans.
  • Go to the gym after a stressful day at work. Something about running as hard as you can for a few miles really clears your mind.
  • BREATHE. *Don’t skip this one*
  • Vinegar and baking soda are the best ingredients in your pantry.
  • If you don’t like  your tight pants , don’t stress. Buy a size larger and cut off the tag.
  • Love will happen in time but for the moment just chill.
  • Be nice.
  • Learn the basics of cooking as soon as you can and practice a little each day. Your tummy and wallet will thank you for this.
  • Be brave.
  • The plans you made for your life can change in an instant so be flexible.
  • Learn to listen without distraction.
  • Time management is key.
  • How to hem a pair of pants, mend socks, and build a picnic table.
