This is Darcy. She is the reason that must of my time has been spent outside rather than inside cleaning and doing chores. We went to the pound just to “look around” (that’s what Mr. Snail said). Well as we were looking around we met this little cutie. The pound was abounding with noise from the other dogs barking, wailing and scratching their kennels. This little beauty was laying in her bed shaking. As we approached the cage she got up and licked Mr. Snail’s hand (that was the finishing blow). We took her on a little walk and came back to the shelter with ear to ear smiles (all three of us!)
While we were filing out paperwork, our new puppy was undergoing her final examination. They cleared us as adequate parents and our four legged friend got her clean bill of health. They carried her through the waiting room through murmuring of “what a cute dog” and placed her in my arms. The attendant smiled and said “congratulations”. I would be lying to you if I said that my eyes didn’t tear up.
